I love that layered necklaces are all the rage right now! I’ll be honest, I’ve never really been one for necklaces but the more I saw it on Pinterest and on some of my favorite fashion bloggers, the more I started loving the look!

I mean, wow!!

To start my collection, I recently ordered a couple pieces from #uncommonjames, but what I didn’t realize was that they were the exact same length. This doesn’t work if you’re going for the layered look, so instead of using an extender, I just clipped them together. See the second picture for how I connected them to make one of them look longer.

I love a good denim jacket! There are so many ways you can style it: throw it over your summer dress, tie it around your waste, wear it with a ball cap and some leggings, throw it over your workout clothes... the options are endless!

My favorite denim jacket was an American Eagle jacket that I purchased from a thrift store during my sophomore year of high school. After YEARS of wearing that jacket, I finally donated it back to the thrift store, thinking that it was no longer in style. Boy was I wrong! A denim jacket is versatile and timeless and should be a staple in every woman’s closet!

I only have one of my jackets with me here in Texas so here are some of my favorite ways to style an oversized denim jacket:

The one I’m wearing is from Target but I couldn’t find it online. Here are some other options:

I am loving these Gimme Beauty hair ties! Last night I slept with a high pony tail and this morning I had only the slightest crease in my hair, which then went away after about 10 minutes. That never happens with my other hair ties. Also, they’re great for keeping my high ponytail secure when working out! Not to mention, they’re super cute!

This is how I styled my second day hair the other day:

I’ll be the first to admit that I am jealous of girls with thick, bushy brows. The kind of brows where all you have to do is brush through them and they look perfect. No pencil or wax needed. Man, what that must be like!!

My brows on the other hand, they need a lot of work. They are thin and sparse and desperately need to be threaded. But thanks to two products from Glossier, I know how to create the illusion of thick fluffy brows.

I use the brown shade in both, although I feel like the Boy Brow in blonde would work for me too.

First, brush up your brows using a brow brush. Then, using the Brow Flick, create hairlike strokes in all areas that need a little bit of filling in. I like to add hairs in the inner corners as well as on the tail of my brows. Use a light hand to avoid marker-like hairs.

Next, using the Boy Brow, gently comb your brows up. If you feel like there is too much product on your brush, wipe some of it off. Wait about 20 seconds and then gently use your finger to smooth them into place.

At this point, you’re done. But if you see any areas that need a little more filling in, take your Brow Flick and fill in those areas a little bit more.

That’s it! Say hello to fluffy brows!

Most of my good friends can tell you that my favorite accessories over the last few years were my Tiffany pearl earrings. I literally wore them all the time...day and night, to the store, to the beach, to church, everywhere! But a few months ago I decided to change things up by purchasing yellow gold huggies. But before I could commit to spending a few hundred dollars on a real gold pair, I decided to try out the gold plated version from Amazon first, just to make sure I liked the way they looked on me. And to my surprise, I like this $13 pair so much I haven’t felt the need to splurge yet.

These earrings are sterling silver but plated in 14k gold. They are hypoallergenic, nickel free and tarnish free. They are comfortable to sleep in and exercise in. I’ve been wearing mine non-stop for three months, only taking them out when I shower, and they still look perfect! If you’ve been on the hunt for cute gold hoops, check these out!

I’ve been on the hunt for some basic padded workout tops for a while now but the ones from Athleta or Lululemon have crazy price tags. So I started looking at other places to find cute, yet affordable options that look just as nice and I came across these. They are so well made and give great support! I bought the white and pink tops and loved them so much I already ordered the black and blue tops. They are TTS but fit like a glove, so you might want to size up if you want them a little looser.

Last night my husband and I went on a date in Austin. As I begin to style my “day three” hair before our date, I knew leaving it down just wouldn’t cut it. Luckily I had the cutest hair clips to pull my hair back with.

I found these clips at Walmart a few weeks ago while looking for hair ties. They caught my attention because they looked just as chic as the hair clips I’ve seen at Target and Francesca’s, and for only $4, I couldn’t pass them up.

I tried finding them online but had no luck, so I’ve linked some other cute, inexpensive hair clips here:

I don’t know about you but I have been living in loungewear and workout clothes since quarantine started back in March. It’s just so much easier to throw on a matching set than to pick out an entire outfit. And for those of us living in Texas and Arizona, we have a lot more days of “lounging” ahead of us, which for me means I need more loungewear!

Here are some cute sets under $25 from Amazon and Target!

        Welp, here it goes...

I am pursuing my dreams of blogging, again. I started a blog many years ago, but the fear of criticism got to me and I decided to stop. I have spent too many years living in fear of what “she thinks” or what “they’re gonna say” when they see that I am blogging or adding hashtags to my posts or tagging my photos. I am no longer giving anyone the power to hold me back. I am moving on.

I want to blog. I want to help people find the best deals. I want to help someone find a look for less. I want to help someone find the best eyeliner, or mascara, or foundation. And heck, I want to post a meaningful quote every now and again, if I think it might encourage someone.

I know I am DEFINITELY guilty of being judgmental and critical but I recognize it and I am actively trying to be better. I don’t want to be the reason anyone is afraid to talk to me or the reason someone is holding back.

We should all try to be better. 2020 has been awful, but it has also been a great opportunity for us to do a self-assessment. To examine our character flaws. To look at ourselves from another’s perspective. To be nicer. To love more. To laugh at jokes, not at people.

Today, I challenge you to be nicer. It is so simple, yet a lot of people, including myself, need to be reminded to do this. You never know how much a smile, a kind hello, or a sweet message will affect someone’s life. Be kind.

Quarantine finds: the perfect cheek color and a great CC cream! 💕
I don’t know about you, but staying home everyday has left me with no motivation to get all done up. However, I do like feeling just a tiny bit pretty, especially since I’m quarantining with my husband, whom I’d still like to impress.

The @honest_beauty Creme Blush is so good! I got the color Coral Peach and it really is the best shade of peach. It adds the perfect flush of color to your cheeks while still looking natural. I also like to add a little to my eyelids to brighten my eyes.

The @itcosmetics CC cream gives really good coverage without looking cakey, and a little goes a LONG way! I’ve tried many CC creams in the past and this one is by far the best.
Anyway, just thought I’d share! Xoxo
